''It was set up as the Regional Science Centre in 1989, by the National Council of Science Museums on a sprawling 10 acre land at sector 'E' Aliganj. It has now been upgraded to Regional Science City."

It is one of the satellite units of National Science Centre, Delhi.Zonal Science Center, Lucknow was inaugurated on September 7, 1989 and was upgraded as a Zonal Science city, which was inaugurated on September 21, 2007. A state-of-the-art industrial science center in the heart of Uttar Pradesh is located in a 10-acre land flowing in the city, in which a new building 'Exploration Room' has been constructed, in which three types of enchanting exploration, biotechnology revolution and practical science And swarmed) have attractive exhibits in them, along with this is the Siemens and the three-dimensional science exhibition hall which is also available Let based education. This facility is provided by National Science Museum Council, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Council conducts 27 science centers and science museums in India, in which the Zoological Center is one. Zonal Science Center, Lucknow was established in 1989 and more than 31 lakh people have visited it.
Zonal science is a new and unique idea of ​​providing a city-based education based on ideas that have been developed to present science and technology in an impressive way throughout the world and in India. These exhibitions not only explain the exhibitions in the depths of visitors, but also influence their brain in an interesting way for a long time. Seen with special polarized spectacles, the objects appear to pop up from screen. The educative films viewed in the 3D makes learning of science fun and enjoyable. At present we are showing an exciting 3-D film on BRAIN.With the immersive effect of 3D and stunningly realistic computer-generated animals, this giant screen film plunges audiences into lush environments, blending live action and animation to illustrate some of the greatest dangers facing the Earth today: global warming, rainforest deforestation and depletion of the oceans.

The curd and honey which we eat, the antibiotics, which we use to treat our ailments, and the cereals, which form our staple, diet are all glaring examples of application of biotechnology.

Rivers bring prosperity to nations. All great civilizations of the world flourished on river valleys. The gallery is a tribute to the greatness of rivers and water. The science, the techniques, the social rituals and above all the close and inseparable link and relation of man with rivers is projected here by means of some hands-on demonstrations and working exhibits.

Wonders of light, sound, Magnetism, Heat and many other topics explained through participating exhibits.See how a straight rod passes easily through a curved and twisted hyperbolic path. Get into a Kaleidoscope and count your images. See an infinite tunnel of glowing bulbs in the limited space of the hall. Likewise there are several such exhibits and no one can afford to miss this gallery. 

Fluidics 

In Fluidics Gallery working and participatory exhibits bring alive the science & technology of fluid like Air Water Interplay, Magic Tap, Ripple Tank & Vortex etc.They include anything that flows. Fluids are life-giving, life-sustaining elements of the Universe. Solid matter constitutes just a tiny part of whole world whereas the rest is occupied by fluids. The gallery on “Fluidics” depicts interesting properties of air, water, oils and other fluids that we commonly deal with. Several experiences in our daily life are explained here with the demonstrative three-dimensional exhibits. 

Wonder World of Materials 

‘Wonder World of Materials” is newly opened gallery at Regional Science City, Lucknow in which one can get information about the different kind of materials. The “Wonder World of Materials” gallery portrays different fascinating aspects of Material Science namely: fundamentals of material science, polymers and plastics, electronic material, semiconductors and superconducting materials, sensors, world of nanotechnology, structural materials, industrial materials, optics, surface and cold chemistry, explosive materials, functional materials etc. It also showcases how the material science has progressed over the years from ancient era to modern times. 

Aquamobile 

A large Aquamobile exhibit right in the entrance of the in the Popular Science Gallery is another interesting exhibit of the Regional Science City. Water flowing through different transparent pipes & channels does spectacular work to demonstrate the principles of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. Watch coloured water that turns turbine wheels, forms a water lens, creates vortex, sets in siphon action and fountains, and performs like virtuoso acrobat in a circus, itself taking myriad shapes in the process.

Fun Science 

The gallery houses exhibits based on various scientific principles and as the name suggest have a fun component. Apart from several interactive exhibits, it also shelters an indigenously designed interesting model called “Aqua-Mobile” which, through flowing water, demonstrates the principles of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. The water, passing through different transparent pipes and channels, rotates turbine wheels, creates vortex, sets in siphon action, fountains and performs like a virtuoso acrobat in a circus.
